Emil Klute founded the first production company of the Klute family around 1920 in Hagen (Germany) to produce various wire products, innersprings and mattresses. His sons Helmut and Günter Klute relocated the company EKS (Emil Klute and Sons) to Wolfhagen after the Second World War and also started producing slatted frames there. The production was continuously modernized in the following years. In 1986 Holger Klute started working in the family business. Brand, company name and products The Bärenschlaf-International® brand is owned by Mr. Holger Klute. For many years it has stood for the traditional, well-known and very high quality of the products marked in this way. Holger Klute e.K. has been active on the German-speaking market for a long time. The Lithuanian company Litbed Bedding Company UAB, founded in 1999, started the production of high-quality branded mattresses, slatted frames, box spring beds, electrically adjustable sleeping systems and pillows together with the German company, which are sold under the brand name / label Bärenschlaf-International®. Today we are proud of our achievements and of having placed solid branded articles with a very good reputation in the international bed trade.
