The CHIRON Group, based in Tuttlingen, is a specialist in CNC-controlled, vertical milling and turning centers as well as turnkey manufacturing solutions. The group is present worldwide with production and development locations, sales and service branches as well as commercial agencies. With 2,100 employees, the group generated sales of 498 million euros in 2018. Around two thirds of the machines and solutions sold are exported. The main customer industries are the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, medical and precision engineering, and aerospace. The CHIRON Group runs the three brands CHIRON, STAMA and SCHERER for new machines and CMS for retrofitting. All brands represent precise, productive and flexible processing. CHIRON stands for maximum dynamism. STAMA focuses on the stability factor. SCHERER relies on multifunctional vertical turning. CMS offers completely overhauled machines of the group as well as corresponding services.
