In 1962, Hans Dieter Menke founded the Menke furniture factory. The credo of restricting oneself to the essentials led to success. The company soon made a name for itself with dismantled furniture for self-assembly and a clearly structured product range. Bedroom wardrobes have also been part of the range since then. But the compact kitchens from the flat pack became Menke's flagship. The furniture factory is still in family hands today. In 1989, Hans-Dieter Menke junior joined the management, ready to continue his father's life's work and to take on responsibility for the 140 employees. Menke has remained loyal to East Westphalia, relies on functional furniture at affordable prices and strong partnerships with retailers for the long term.
