Company history:
Shortly after the political change in Germany, on August 2nd, 1990, the company HENKA Werkzeuge Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH was founded and entered in the commercial register. The initiators were Dr. Bernd Hentschel from Rittersgrün (Saxony) and Mr. Karl Kaufmann from Backnang (Baden-Württemberg). On September 1st, 1990, Mrs. Sabine Neubert and Mr. Frank Flemming were the first employees to work in the Hentschel family home. Both are still there after 28 years. In December 1990 the company moved to an office container. 10 years later, HENKA received the SANDVIK dealership of the year award in 2000. In 2007, the "Grand Prix for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises" was awarded and Prime Minister Georg Milbradt visited HENKA. In 2013, the new company building in Stollberg was completed and Rittersgrün moved to Stollberg / Erzgebirge. The HENKA training center opened a year later and with the visit of Prime Minister Stanislaw Tillich we were awarded the badge of honor of the "Grand Prix for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises". On 03.09.2015 Dr. -Ing. Bernd Hentschel the management to Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Viehweger at the 25th anniversary of HENKA. At the beginning of 2018, HENKA Werkzeuge Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH published its own online shop for precision tools and workshop supplies.
