KNAPP Wälzlagertechnik GmbH has been a leader in the procurement and storage of rolling bearings and linear components for over 50 years. We are the development-oriented specialist for rolling bearing solutions with worldwide production and specialize in customer-specific features.
Our product range with more than 13,000 constantly stocked items includes needle bearings, roller bearings, ball bearings, linear guides, rolling bearing accessories, plain bearings, spherical bearings, fasteners, rod ends and housing bearings.
Customer-specific products, the highest quality standards (certification according to DIN ISO 9001: 2008), customer orientation and a comprehensive service convince our customers, who come from various areas such as the mechanical engineering, automotive and automation industries.
1958: Foundation of the company in Fellbach by Mr. Werner Knapp
1998: Takeover of the company by Dipl. Ing. Wolfgang and Siglinde Bauer. Conversion to KNAPP Wälzlagertechnik GmbH
2000: Relocation of the company from Röntgenstrasse to Ringstrasse 26
2001: DIN ISO 9001 certification
2003: We train - KNAPP Wälzlagertechnik GmbH becomes IHK certified and recognized training company. We are now training our junior staff ourselves.
2008: Expansion of the niche segment of customer-specific rolling bearing solutions and market launch of the quality brand KBT PremiumQuality
2010: First participation as an exhibitor at the international trade fair for assembly, automation and handling technology in Stuttgart
2011: Dipl. Business Economist Kerstin Bohn (previously: Bauer) and Dipl. Ing. Markus Bauer join the company, initiation of a generation change.
2014: New company headquarters in Waiblingen. Relocation on April 22, 2014 to the new building. Official inauguration of the new company headquarters on July 18, 2014
2015: Management taken over by Kerstin Bohn and Markus Bauer.
