Description
The MEILLER company was founded in Schmallenberg in 1895 as a tool and locksmith shop by master blacksmith Lorenz Meiller.
In 1916, his son Julius Meiller took over the plant. He designed and manufactured barrel filling machines and mobile hand and electric forklifts.
In 1930, production continued at the Fleckenberg and Saalhausen locations with a focus on hoists and apparatus construction.
His son Walter Meiller has been producing in Schmallenberg again since 1951. The development and manufacturing then concentrated on the production of special devices and systems for industry, e.g. B. drum lifting and tipping devices, manipulators for pole columns, printing units for the textile industry as well as machine and steel construction.
In 1977 the company was relocated to the Lake I business park and the MEILLER production program was expanded to include the area of environmental technology with the production of storage systems for water protection. At the same time, the production of roofing systems for cars and bicycles, waiting halls and bicycle parkers was started in 1983.
In 1987 MEILLER was recognized as a specialist company according to WHG § 19 I (Water Resources Act). All water protection storage systems manufactured by MEILLER are specified and tested in accordance with Vbf.
In 1990 Rolf-Georg Meiller joined the management of the company and thus secured the fourth generation as a family business. He pushed sales of quality products to other European and non-European countries.
Since 2007, MEILLER has also been working as a supplier for system assemblies by purchasing a laser cutting system.
The Schmallenberg production site includes a covered area of 4500 m² with storage and administration and a traffic and open space of 7500 m².
Today's production program consists of barrel handling equipment, tub systems and storage facilities for environmental technology, shelving systems and outdoor facilities. In addition to the standard product range, MEILLER offers innovative project solutions and special designs for all problems of its customers.
Production is carried out with trained specialists and the latest technology using welding robots and CNC machines. As a result, MEILLER is able to produce high-quality and competitive products in Germany, even in the age of globalization.
