We have recently started delivering products for mountain sports and caving. How did it all start: The idea of ​​the small shipyard came about in 2001 in a stable converted into a folding boat yard. The two folding boats that I used to travel at the time had to be overhauled and so a space was sought in which I could build a boat. After a short search I was offered an old horse stable as a room. I converted this stable into a small "yard". The idea of ​​the small shipyard was born. Over time, the experience and the idea of ​​developing and manufacturing a boat yourself grew. Many interesting contacts were made with folding boat builders, manufacturers and suppliers. The project grew and after a 1½ year development and manufacturing period led to a folding boat - a 5.60m long trip. Who are we: The team of the small shipyard consists of Ralf Schwarzbach, the company founder and an employee, who you can find on our customer phone. I, Ralf Schwarzbach, have traveled on foot, by bike and folding boat in different countries over the past 30 years and have gained a lot of experience in my ventures. The professional career includes various activities in metal construction, electrical engineering and customer service. I am happy to pass on this experience and use it to design my own products. In our shipping warehouse we employ an employee who is responsible for the smooth shipping process. Since warehouse logistics and shipping make up a large part of our business, we have paid special attention to this and keep a large number of items in stock at all times.
